Funding your gomoney account
You can fund your gomoney account by bank transfers. To view your gomoney account details, click the account details button on the homepage - Your account name, account number, and bank name should be displayed on this screen. These are all the necessary information that you'll need to perform a bank transaction into your gomoney account. You can easily share your account details with anyone by tapping on the text "share account details" or by tapping on the copy button to copy your account nymber and you can paste it anywhere of your choosing to share.
Account Upgrade
Typically, every gomoney account has two upgrade options to access a standard account: the automated and, if that doesn't work, an option to "upload manually" will pop up at the bottom of the next page.
This comes directly to us, too. Once your documents are verified on our end, your account will be upgraded. This will take about 48 hours.
Send Money
gomoney allows you to send money in three different ways. Firstly, send cash with zero transaction charges to other gomoney contacts in your contact list. To make the process of sending money even easier for you, displayed at the bottom of the page are records of your frequent contacts and your recent contacts.
You can also send money via bank transfers for as little as You can also send money via bank transfers for as little as NGN 10.75 for below 50,000 and NGN 53.75 for above 100,000. We've simplified this process by providing a list of both your frequent and recent bank contacts, so you never have to fuss when you're searching for your beneficiaries.
Lastly, you can send money via payment links. Payment links are automatically generated links that help you securely transfer money from one person to another without having to share bank account details or phone numbers. If you're worried about your links falling into the wrong hands, don't be. The money can only be claimed after a passcode (that only you have and can share with your desired contact) has been provided and verified.
Payment Categories
After each successful transaction, a screen pops up with different categories and prompts you to pick a category for that transaction. This is in a bid to help you understand how best you spend your money. If you choose to dismiss this page, then your transaction will automatically be categorized as a Transfer. However, you can recategorize all your transactions by clicking on that particular transaction and clicking on the category button on the transaction details page, and switching to a different category.
